Getting to the Humber Valley Resort

Humber Valley Resort is only 20 minutes drive from Deer Lake Airport (YDF) which was recently enlarged to meet the growing demand for travel to the region. Most major Canadian airlines link with Deer Lake (YDF) providing scheduled accessibility from the international airports of Halifax, NS (YHZ), Montréal, QB (YUL), St. John’s, NL (YYT) and Toronto, ON (YYZ).

Seasonal Charters

Humber Valley Resort launched its inaugural direct charter flight from London Gatwick (LGW) to Deer Lake Airport (YDF) in March 2004. This has now become a weekly service, offering direct flights in just over five hours. The current seasons of operation usually run from December to April and June to September. Other flights from the UK can be made daily throughout the year using Air Canada via Halifax to Deer Lake.

Humber Valley Resort is located on the Trans Canada Highway (TCH) between the towns of Corner Brook and Deer Lake at the point where Deer Lake flows into the Lower Humber River. The TCH is fast and wide and provides excellent access to the Resort.

From Deer Lake Airport (YDF) – turn right onto the TCH heading westbound towards Corner Brook. Proceed past the town of Deer Lake and follow the TCH for approximately 30km along the side of Deer Lake. Humber Valley Resort is accessed from Junction 11, recently improved to meet the needs of Resort traffic, and Strawberry Hill Resort is accessed from Junction 10.
